Electoral program

youth

Dear Ra’anana youngsters ! As the one who founded and commanded the municipal parent’s patrol that takes care of our youth, I know you well. I have spent thousands of hours together with you in the middle of the night. You have taught me that you are bored in Ra’anana. I found out that you all want to meet with your friends on weekends and vacations, to have fun and to spend time together.
Dear parents: our youth in Ra’anana are neglected by means of municipal investment. The new Ra’anana standard for youth includes a real revolution for them.
We will invest in modern facilities for the youth organizations operating in Ra’anana
The municipal budget allocated for supporting each member of the youth organizations will be increased on January 2024, from NIS 147 per member per year to NIS 300.
Ra’anana Park will turn into the “youth park” on the weekends with a variety of attractions for our children. We will pave bicycle lanes in the city so that our youth can be independent and reach schools, youth organizations, sport facilities and friends.
Values are highly important - we will encourage volunteering in the community and initiate more joint actions of our youth with the older population in the city.

  1. Bike lanes – ” Ra’anana – the bicycle city”
Within 3 years, our youth will be able to enjoy continuous and safe riding on the new bike path network, which will be safe and completely separated from the sidewalks and roads.
For more information on this topic, see details in the transportation chapter.
  2. Have you already heard about the youth park?
Every weekend, Ra’anana Park will become the youth park. With garden furniture scattered in a variety of areas on the grass, with bean bags, games such as backgammon, chess, and more, with the sports fields that will be open and lightened, with the kiosk and a variety of food and beverage stands and more.
A movie will be screened on the lawn every weekend between the months of May and November.
“The hall on the lake” – the current art gallery will be transferred to the city center. That hall will be used as a club on Thursday and Friday nights for elementary and high school students, as a dancing club. Getting to and from the park will be by free shuttles that will go back and forth on Weitzman street and Ahuza street.
  3. The youth’s city !
During the summer holidays, we will hold a two-day festival in Ra’anana Park, which is entirely dedicated to the city’s youth. With a variety of activities, diverse fairs, sports sessions and amazing attractions for our youth, in partnership with commercial entities and sponsors.
On each of the two evenings – a famous singer will perform there. Our youth simply deserve more.
  4. Much more for our youth organizations. Because they are here for our children
5,235 of our kids have been members of youth organizations in Ra’anana, in 2023.
The municipal support budget for the youth organizations is insufficient. So many parents complain about the high costs charged by the youth organizations, which prevents some of our children from taking part in these activities.
I cannot comply with that situation.
On January 2024, we will increase the city’s investment in our kids by increasing the municipal sponsorship in youth organizations from 147 NIS per member per year, to 300 NIS (this is an annual increase of about 800 thousand NIS for the entire city).
  5. Upgrading the infrastructures of the youth organizations
Until the summer of 2024, we will present to you a 3-year plan, by which we will build new facilities and upgrade all the existing housing of the youth organizations in the city. The current overcrowding in our facilities should not be not accepted any more.
  6. The city’s parents patrol
Will be expanded to provide an optimal response in the areas of youth security and safety.
  7. A safer city for children and youth
This is one of the most significant challenges for our society in general and for Ra’anana in particular!
This is about both physical and verbal violence, boycotts and other harmful activities, all of which have far-reaching social and personal consequences.
At the beginning of 2024, we will present to you an innovative program for the treatment of the social resilience of our children and youth, which will be accompanied by first-class experts in the field.
The program will be integrated both within the formal education system and within the complementary education frameworks, youth organizations and municipal units.
  8. Adolescent clinic
In collaboration with the health funds, we will set up in Ra’anana a special clinic that will deal with a variety of medical fields that are uniquely relevant to teenagers, such as : women’s medicine, skin problems, sexuality, psychologists and more.

For information about your polling place and how to vote (including soldiers), click here

Say “where do I vote”? Why didn’t I get a note? How does my son/daughter vote in the IDF?

Here is all the necessary information for election day in Ra’anana!

There are two options for locating the polling place:

  1. Here is a link from the Ministry of the Interior – enter the link and fill in the appropriate place your ID number as well as the date of issue. The system will return the polling place to you. https://www.gov.il/apps/moin/bocharim/
  1. My headquarters team will also be happy to answer you personally on your polling station: 054-4884-8840 send us a WhatsApp with your name and ID and we will answer you.

Question: Why didn’t I receive the note in the mail?

Answer: Most of us did not receive them. These are notes sent by the Ministry of the Interior, but they are intended for information only about the polling place, they are not necessary for voting!!!

What should we bring to the polling station?

  1. The polling stations are open from 07.00 in the morning until 22.00 at night.
  2. Identification before the polling staff is through an identity card or driver’s license.
The note we used to receive from the Ministry of the Interior (most of us did not receive it) is not necessary for voting, it is for information only!!!

How many notes do you vote with?
You will receive two envelopes:
One for the yellow note – for direct election to mayor (Nir Crystal),
and the second for the white note – to select the list for the city council (ק Ra’ananim led by Nir Crystal).

Make sure you only take one note !!! of each kind and put them in the envelopes, otherwise your vote could be rejected.

And our children, our amazing soldiers?

They vote in the bases. After identifying themselves to the polling staff, they will receive envelopes like you but unlike us, they will receive a blank yellow note and a blank white note.
Why are they blank? Because troops from other cities will stand behind them in line and it is not possible to bring all the notes from all over the country to each base.
Therefore: they must write their choice in their handwriting.

In our case :
Nir Crystal – on the yellow note,
ק  Ra’ananim led by Nir Crystal – on the white ticket.

Do not add anything other than this text on the notes.

And most importantly – election day is a vacation. It is designed so that we all go to vote and influence our future. Because only those who vote really influence.

I invite you to elect me for mayor and a list of Ra’ananim (ק) under my leadership for the city council.

yours,

Nir Crystal and the list of Ra’ananim (ק)
